Halva is a curious food. The Middle Eastern confection, which is most commonly made from sesame seeds mixed with sugar, is not exactly sweet but it’s certainly savory either; its texture is one part cotton-candy airiness, one part dense fudge.
Being one of the traditional halva flavors, this pistachio halva is always a winner. Chopped pistachio nuts give the halva a crunchy bite.
